U.S. Stocks Bounce Back – WSJ.com

U.S. Stocks Bounce Back – WSJ.com.

This article says,

Major benchmarks bounced back from sharp declines in the final hour of trading to finish modestly lower as traders circulated reports that promised more help for debt-strapped European countries.

I cannot find any evidence of even one reputable report mentioning more help for Europe; however, if you change the word “report” to “rumor” the excerpt makes more sense.

Do you know why the stock market rose dramatically in the final hour of trading? I certainly don’t, and no one else does either.
