Labor Shortage May Help China Adjust to Slower Growth – WSJ.com.

This news helps China. When workers have labor market leverage, they view the economy as good and keep spending. Most of the external factors that we can measure in order to peg growth within the Middle Kingdom are flashing recession, yet we have a labor shortage.

Labor shortages are not associated with recessions. What is going on? Is this just an example of lagging data or manipulated data or something else?
